We have sourced grapes from throughout California to create a luscious, round Chardonnay. After a rollercoaster 2015 vintage, we settled into an ideal 2016 vintage. Mellow, even weather led to normal to above average yields with tremendous quality. Wines from the 2016 vintage are crisp and vibrant. It could possibly be one of the top vintages in the last two decades.
The old adage says that Cabernet is king. We created Butternut Cabernet to be king in delivering maximum flavor, quality, and value. Aromas of red berry fruit emerge from the glass with flavors of dark chocolate and round tannins lingering on the palate.
Butternut Cabernet goes well with braised beef short ribs with roasted Brussel sprouts and fingerling potatoes or dark chocolate fondue with strawberries, biscotti, and pound cake.
